The editorial score
Every tool gets one score out of 5, to one decimal. It is the weighted average of five sub-scores an editor sets after testing:
A 4.5 or above means we would recommend the tool to most people in its category without caveats. We never round up: a 4.45 is a 4.4. Scores are revisited whenever a tool ships a major change or changes its pricing, and at least once a year regardless.
How we test
Every tool is tested with a real account, on a paid plan where there is no free plan. We connect at least three platforms, schedule a week of posts across them, log every failure and every post that went out wrong, try the mobile app where there is one, and contact support once with a real question. Only then is the score set.
We do not accept free accounts, extended trials or briefings from vendors in exchange for coverage. Where a vendor offers a demo we may take it, but the score comes from our own use.
Pricing verification
Plans, prices and limits are re-checked against each vendor's public pricing page at the start of every month. The "Checked" date on each listing is that check. Prices are quoted in US dollars, billed monthly where the vendor offers it, because that is the number most people compare. Vendor-submitted pricing changes are checked the same way before they go live.
Affiliate disclosure
When you click a Visit site button and then buy a plan, some vendors pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Those buttons are the only orange thing on this site, so you always know which links earn us money.
Commission does not influence scores, rankings, verdicts or whether a tool is listed. Tools that pay us nothing sit next to tools that do, ranked the same way. We do not sell placements, badges or "featured" slots, and we do not accept payment for reviews.
Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" and pass through scheduler.social/go so we can count clicks. Vendors may set a tracking cookie on their own site, typically for 30 to 90 days. This disclosure is made in line with FTC and ASA guidance on affiliate marketing.
What vendors can and can't do
These are the vendor guidelines you agree to when you claim a listing.
User reviews
Anyone who has used a tool can review it. Reviews are confirmed by email and read by a person before they go live. We show the reviewer's role rather than their name unless they opt in. A review is rejected when it shows no real use of the product, reviews a different tool, contains promotional language or a referral link, comes from an address on the vendor's domain, or the confirmation email bounces.
The user-review average is shown next to the editorial score and is never blended into it. The two answer different questions: the editorial score is one consistent test applied to every tool; the user average is what people who chose that tool think of it.
Corrections
Spotted a wrong price or a feature we missed? Report it. Every report gets a reply, and material corrections are noted on the listing with the date.
